Grass Volleyball Tournament 2025 - end of season

Sun, Grass, and Smiles at the Grass Volleyball Tournament

Our grass volleyball tournament brought together players of all levels for a day full of fun, competition, and community spirit. With an “Open for All” division and an advanced division, teams battled it out under the sun. Our heart goes out to anyone who forgot to bring sunscreen!

Players and spectators alike enjoyed the lively atmosphere, complete with food, drinks, and even a few impromptu barbecues. The energy was high all day, and the excitement was captured by local news interviews throughout the day.

While the games were competitive, the spirit of the day was all about enjoying the game, connecting with friends, and celebrating volleyball. By the end, it felt like everyone was a winner… and in a funny twist, the official tournament winner was simply “Volleyball” itself!

A huge thank you to all the teams, families, and volunteers who made the day a success. With laughter, sunshine, and plenty of great volleyball action, it was the perfect even to end the summer league — and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

A special thank you to sports presenter, Keilan Webster from ITV News Channel for spending the day with us and capturing the Guernsey Volleyball spirit, we are looking forward to the news piece.

Another enormous thank you to Ian Gavet Photography for the wonderful photos he took of our players. We are looking forward to future collaboration.

South East Volleyball Association (SEVA) Tournament

The Guernsey Men’s Volleyball team went to SEVA and delivered an exceptional performance - with merely a 2 point difference in the last set, they narrowly missed retaining their title, showing, once again, that they have what it takes.

The lads showed a lot of quality throughout the day competing against some of the best volleyball teams in the South East region. Having narrowly missed out in the final, we are working towards coming back stronger next season. The team and I would also like to thank the support provided on the day by people who came over with us and also on the livestream.
