Indoor volleyball is the most popular discipline of volleyball. It’s played on a hard-surface indoor court with up to six players per side.

The Indoor League is Guernsey Volleyball’s flagship competitive season, open to players of all abilities. Teams compete weekly in a structured, friendly, and competitive environment, and with trained referees.

The league is divided in Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed teams - with Division 1 and Division 2 teams to encourage fair play.

Indoor league FAQ

  • Any person can register a team providing they meet the team registration conditions:

    1. All teams must have a minimum of 6 players to participate in scheduled matches.

    2. All teams must pay the team registration and league fees by set deadlines.

    3. All team players, coaches, and managers must adhere to the GVA Code of Conduct, Safeguarding Policies, and related policies and outlined on this website.

    4. All teams must agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined on the Team Registration Form.

  • Each team participates in matches with a minimum of 6 players, but a team may have more players registered if they wish for substitution, in accordance to GVA League and Game rules.

  • Yes. If you are on a women’s team, you can play on a mixed team. Similarly, if you are on a men’s team, you can also play in a mixed team.

  • Yes! Contact Guernsey Volleyball and we’ll help match you with a team that needs players.

    Take advantage of open sessions (check the calendar section of the website) to meet other players and team managers.

  • Yes. But new players need to register with the GVA via Spond.

  • Yes, if they meet the age requirements and have parental/guardian consent.
